Haile Boutique Hotel is an intimate eleven-room retreat set within a beautifully restored 1950s highland home in a quiet, leafy part of Arusha. Its distinctive interiors blend highland colonial character with mid-century influences, rich woodwork, collected furniture, maps, books and thoughtful contemporary comforts. Guests can enjoy private balconies, a swimming pool and gardens, spa, gym and sauna, alongside dining at The Explorer’s Table, coffee at The Map Room Café and relaxed moments on The Veranda. The lobby holds a set of curved sofas in burnt orange. It is the loudest thing in the building, and everything else stays quiet around it. That is the whole idea of the place.

The old trade routes brought the fragrance of the Swahili coast into the highlands. Our kitchen draws from that heritage, while our coffee belongs firmly to Arusha, grown on the slopes just an hour up the road from Haile.
