The room

The largest of the main-house rooms, on the corner where two aspects of the garden meet. Twin beds in dark teak — pushed together into a super-king on request — a writing table under the window, and the morning light the original owners built the house to catch.

The same panelled bathroom as the rest of the house, a little larger. The extra floor here is real: room to unpack properly, a pair of reading chairs, and the door far enough from the beds that an early riser doesn't wake the other.
